Billing & Plans
Understand plan tiers, usage-based billing, and account management.
Pricing model
Moneat uses a unified ingestion model. Your usage is measured by the volume of telemetry data ingested and stored, with separate plan limits for high-cardinality signals such as APM spans, custom metrics, infrastructure metric series-hours, analytics pageviews, hosts, and monitors.
Plan tiers

| Free | Core telemetry with included usage and service limits. |
| Team | Higher included usage, SAML/OIDC SSO, and team features. |
| Business | Higher limits, custom retention, priority support, and SLA options. |
| Enterprise | A custom hosted contract with negotiated limits and terms. |

Existing Pro subscriptions retain their terms, but Pro is no longer offered for new checkout.
SSO availability follows your organization's hosted plan configuration. The default Team and Business plans enable OIDC and SAML. See SSO & Authentication.
Usage tracking
Open Settings → Billing → Usage to review current usage and costs. The Usage page shows:
- Current period usage - Data ingested this billing cycle
- Usage breakdown - By service, event type, and day
- Quota remaining - Capacity left
- Historical trends - Usage patterns over previous months
Retention is configured per plan and can differ by signal type, including logs, replays, AI events, analytics, and APM traces.
On-call seats
On-call availability and responder seats depend on your organization's plan and contract. Manage the plan under Settings → Billing → Plan.
Pay-as-you-Go
Budget limits
If you exceed your plan's included data, pay-as-you-go pricing applies. You can set a monthly budget limit to cap your spending. When the budget is reached, new events are dropped until the next billing cycle.
Set a pay-as-you-go budget limit to prevent unexpected charges. You'll receive alerts as you approach your budget threshold.
Managing your subscription
Open Settings → Billing → Plan to manage your subscription, payment method, and invoices. Open Settings → Billing → Usage to review current usage and costs:
- Upgrade or downgrade your plan
- Update payment method
- View and download invoices
- Adjust on-call seat count
- Set pay-as-you-go budget limits
Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe. Moneat does not store your credit card information directly.
